Top 10 Power Tools Brands in China
Over the last ten years, China has steadily become a major force in the global power tools market. Walk into a hardware shop in South America, browse a DIY store in Europe, or scroll through online listings in Southeast Asia—you’ll almost always come across Chinese-made tools.
For overseas buyers, it’s easy to find factories in China. The harder part is figuring out which brands are dependable. Drawing on my own experience working in the power-tool business, I’ve put together a list of ten Chinese brands that have consistently performed well in markets around the world.
1. DONGCHENG

Dongcheng power tools is one of the older names in the industry. Contractors know it for its “can take a beating” durability.
Product Positioning: Primarily Professional & Industrial Grade.
2. DEVON

The DEVON brand benefits from its historical ties with TTI (the manufacturer of Milwaukee and RYOBI), a company with extensive experience in manufacturing and quality control. They focus on cordless power tools and battery-powered platforms.
Product Positioning: Professional-grade. Offering professional performance at a price lower than top international brands.
3. WACTEC

If you are sourcing from a power tools manufacturer China, WACTEC is worth a look.

The company’s advantage is flexibility — it works with importers, wholesalers, hardware chains, and online sellers across South America, Southeast Asia, Africa, and the Middle East.
4. INGCO

Few brands grew as fast as INGCO. Advantages: INGCO offers a wide range of SKUs at highly competitive prices.

5. TOTAL TOOLS

TOTAL tools is similar to INGCO in positioning but often aims at DIY buyers. Their packaging and merchandising system are strong — a big advantage for stores that need good shelf presence.
Product Positioning: DIY use – home use and light-duty tasks.
6. WORX

WORX sits a little higher on the ladder. Backed by Positec, its cordless platform and ergonomics are noticeably more refined.
Product positioning: High-end DIY and professional consumer products. Positioned between inexpensive DIY tools and expensive professional brands.
Suitable for: distributors who want a mid-to-premium cordless lineup that can compete beyond budget categories.
7. CROWN

If you’ve spent some time in Eastern Europe or the Middle East, you’ve likely encountered CROWN tools.
This brand positions itself in the mid-range market—offering comprehensive features to meet the needs of both experienced DIY users and casual professionals, while offering excellent value for money.
CROWN is a good choice due to its stable supply, classic models, and relatively infrequent product line updates.
8. KEN

KEN leans more toward industrial applications — grinders, polishers, and metal-working tools are their strong suit.
Best for: workshops and factories where tools run for long hours and cooling performance matters.
9. WORKPRO TOOLS- GREATSTAR

Greatstar is a giant — one of the most vertically integrated tool manufacturers in China. Their brands and OEM capacity are well-known internationally.
Who should consider it: large chains, supermarkets, and buyers needing private-label support.
10. DELI

Product Positioning: DIY Use
Target Market: distributors, large retail chains, and online sellers who need tools they can count on without pushing their budgets too high.
